The Idea Writers: Copywriting in a New Media and Marketing Era by Teressa Iezzi (book website)

I don’t know what the hell is happening to me: I woke up last week and I was working in marketing and reading Kindle books about marketing on my fucking iPhone!

That said, if there’s anybody out there thinking about getting into interactive copywriting, this is a good overview of what that world is like right now. (The WSJ and Luke Sullivan gave it nice reviews.) There’s even proof that the Dos Equis “Most Interesting Man In The World" ads were directly inspired by Brad Neely’s "George Washington.”

As Hugh says, “Art is, ‘Where do you get your ideas from?’ And advertising is, “Where do you steal your ideas from?’” (Although, I think they’re both about stealing.)
