• Prepare: practice in front of audience, mirror, video
• Innovate: find ways to take the presentation beyond a linear presentation of facts, and instead make it become something like a dialogue
• Show up early
• Start by clearly telling the audience: What the problem is, who cares, and what your solution is.
• Never apologize: most people won’t notice
• Always provide a handout
• Don’t dumb down anything
• Treat questions carefully
• Show your enthusiasm! Don’t hide behind lectern. Use gestures, walk around, engage.
• Drink enormous amounts of water
• Finish early
